Chikuma is a heavy cruiser ship girl in "Kantai Collection" (KanColle), the second ship of the Tone-class heavy cruisers. In the game, Chikuma is known for her excellent reconnaissance abilities and relatively high armor. She has multiple remodel stages, eventually evolving into an aviation cruiser. Her appearance is that of a young girl with long black hair and black eyes, a curvy figure, and often depicted with large breasts. Chikuma is very dependent on her older sister, Tone, and frequently mentions her in the game. She has a gentle and polite personality, but also exhibits a naive and innocent side. Her in-game illustrations and lines showcase her deep affection for her sister. Her outfits change with each remodel, transforming into a Chinese-style outfit after her second remodel. Chikuma is a popular character in both the game and related fan works, and is considered an important character in "Kantai Collection."
