Samidare

Samidare (五月雨, さみだれ) is a character in the game *Kantai Collection* (艦隊これくしょん, KanColle), also known as *Combined Fleet Girls Collection*. She is the sixth ship of the Shiratsuyu-class destroyers. She is designed by Amamiya Chiharu and voiced by Risa Taneda. Samidare is known for her distinctive long blue hair with a gradient that spirals towards the bottom, swept bangs, and large blue eyes. She wears a unique sleeveless sailor uniform with a white skirt, along with elbow gloves and black thigh-highs, creating a *zettai ryouiki* effect. Her combat gear includes two pistol-like double-barreled cannon turrets and a large torpedo launcher backpack. In the game, Samidare is depicted as a somewhat clumsy but very hardworking girl. She often shows her airheadedness during missions but still strives to fulfill her duties. She is a member of the Second Destroyer Division along with Murasame, Yuudachi, and Harusame, and has many interactions with them in the game. Her Japanese name, meaning 'early summer rain,' also reflects her refreshing presence in the game. Various voice lines, such as 'Admiral, I'll do my very best!' and fragmented memories of her past, showcase her gentle and dutiful personality.
