Zuikaku

Zuikaku (瑞鶴, Zuikaku) is a character from the game *Kantai Collection* (艦隊これくしょん, KanColle), also known as *Combined Fleet Girls Collection*. She is the second ship of the Shoukaku-class aircraft carriers, known for her energetic and combative personality, as well as her distinctive twintail hairstyle. Her character design is by Konishi, and she's voiced by Iori Nomizu. In the game, Zuikaku is a powerful regular aircraft carrier, possessing high luck and excellent combat capabilities. She wears a miko-style outfit, complete with a flight deck and bow, symbolizing her identity as an aircraft carrier. Zuikaku has an outgoing, sometimes impulsive personality, but she is confident in her combat prowess, often saying, "As long as I have planes, I won't lose!" She also plays a significant role in the anime and manga adaptations of *Kantai Collection*. Zuikaku's experiences also draw from her real-life historical counterpart, such as the joke about her being a "turkey," which references the Battle of the Philippine Sea where Japanese pilots were easily shot down by the Americans. Her remodel forms reflect her growth, from her initial red and white color scheme to camouflage, and finally back to the original colors while gaining an armored carrier form. Zuikaku has a complex rivalry with Kaga, but also has strong friendships with other fleet girls.
