Kinu

Kinu is a light cruiser ship girl in the game *Kantai Collection* (KanColle). She is based on the Imperial Japanese Navy light cruiser Kinu, and is personified as a young girl with short red hair and orange eyes. As the fifth ship of the Nagara-class light cruisers, Kinu is depicted as an energetic and hard-working character who loves training and harbors affection for the Admiral. Her signature pose, raising both arms, has led to her nickname “Columbia” among players. Kinu's initial stats are average, but after remodeling, her anti-submarine warfare capabilities greatly increase, making her a valuable anti-submarine unit. Despite sometimes telling slightly awkward jokes, her loyalty and enthusiasm towards the Admiral make her a beloved character in *Kantai Collection*. She is voiced by Iori Nomizu, who brings out her lively and slightly tsundere personality.
