Yuubari

Yuubari (夕張, ゆうばり) is a character in the game *Kantai Collection* (艦隊これくしょん, also known as KanColle), and an experimental light cruiser. She is well-known for her unique four equipment slots, which allow her to flexibly configure various equipment as needed, including main guns, torpedoes, anti-submarine gear, and anti-aircraft weaponry. In the game, Yuubari is characterized by her high technical background and data analysis capabilities. Her personality is that of an energetic young girl who enjoys late-night anime and is very loyal to the Admiral (player). Within the game's setting, Yuubari not only serves as a combat unit but also undertakes tasks related to equipment development and data collection. She holds her designer, Hiraga Yuzuru, in high regard. Yuubari has multiple remodeling forms, including Yuubari Kai, Yuubari Kai Ni, Yuubari Kai Ni Toku, and Yuubari Kai Ni D, each with different attributes and equipment capabilities. Among them, Yuubari Kai Ni Toku is favored by many players due to its ability to equip special midget submarines and anti-ground equipment, making it highly versatile in various battle scenarios. Her character design is also associated with the Yubari cantaloupe, a specialty of Yubari City, thus earning her the nickname 'Melon'.
