Kinugasa

Kinugasa is a ship girl (kanmusu) in the game *Kantai Collection* (KanColle), based on the Imperial Japanese Navy heavy cruiser *Kinugasa*. She is the second ship of the Aoba-class, known for her greyish-pink short twintails and her green, tsurime-style eyes. Kinugasa has a cheerful and outgoing personality, referring to herself as "Kinugasa-san". She likes curry but dislikes rain and airplanes, likely due to her historical sinking by an airstrike. In the game, she wears a blue sailor suit and wields distinctive twin-cannon turrets. When damaged, she reveals her orange underwear. Kinugasa has multiple forms including the base Kinugasa, Kinugasa Kai, and Kinugasa Kai Ni, each with increased stats and changed equipment. She's a popular heavy cruiser and fan-favorite, often depicted in fan art, and has several special seasonal limited-edition illustrations, such as Christmas, New Year, and swimsuit versions.
