I-19

I-19, also known as Iku (イク), is a character from the Japanese browser game "Kantai Collection" (KanColle). She is the third ship of the Type B Submarine, a submarine which is personified as a cute girl. Her distinctive features include her blue-purple hair styled into triple-tails, secured with white ribbons and tiny ship parts, red eyes with star-like flower-shaped pupils, and a school swimsuit with "イ19" written on it. I-19 is known for her high torpedo stats and is one of the few submarines that can be remodeled into a Submarine Aircraft Carrier. Her personality is innocent, playful, and spoiled, but in battle she shows a calm and decisive side, often referred to as the 'Sniper of the Seas'. In the game, some of her lines and actions are often interpreted as provocative, leading to her being portrayed as a daring character in fan creations. Historically, the real I-19 was known for launching a devastating torpedo salvo during World War II, sinking the USS Wasp and severely damaging the USS North Carolina and USS O'Brian.
