Yamato

Yamato is a major character in "Kantai Collection" (KanColle), based on the World War II Japanese battleship Yamato. In the game, she is depicted as a young woman with long brown hair in a ponytail adorned with cherry blossoms, often carrying an oriental umbrella. Yamato has a gentle personality, speaks politely, and refers to herself in the third person. Despite being a battleship with powerful firepower, she is often portrayed as lacking combat experience and is sensitive about being called “Yamato Hotel.” She is very loyal to the Admiral while also being shy and demure. In the game, Yamato can be upgraded to gain more powerful abilities, including special two-ship and three-ship cooperative attacks. Her voice lines reflect her pride as a powerful warship and her tenderness as a young woman. In the game’s story, Yamato is one of the core combat forces of the fleet, shouldering significant responsibilities. Furthermore, she has various seasonal limited-time appearances, which are beloved by players.
