Maruyu

Maruyu (まるゆ) is a ship girl from the game "Kantai Collection" (艦隊これくしょん/KanColle), based on the Type 3 Submergence Transport Vehicle of the Imperial Japanese Army. In the game, she appears with short black hair, brown eyes, and wearing a white school swimsuit with a red encircled "yu" (ゆ) on her chest, and a diving mask, carrying a transport container in her left hand. Unlike the other naval ship girls, Maruyu's origins in the army make her feel out of place at the naval base. She often appears insecure and afraid, worrying that she won't make friends with the other ship girls. Her dialogue and actions reflect her dislike of being called a "mole." In terms of gameplay, Maruyu cannot equip any items in her initial form, and only one after remodeling, but she can be used to enhance other ship girls' "luck" stat. Although primarily a transport, she still strives to play her part in combat. Due to her unique traits, such as being not good at diving, she often mocks herself or expresses concerns in her dialogues, making her a rather unique and lovable character in the game. She is voiced by Mamiko Noto.
