Z1

Z1 (Leberecht Maass) is a character from the game "Kantai Collection" (KanColle), based on the lead ship of the German Navy's Z1-class destroyer, "Leberecht Maass". She is known for her distinctive tomboyish appearance and personality, often referred to as a "Boku-musume." Z1 is characterized by her short grey hair and blue eyes, and she wears a sailor uniform. She has three initial equipment slots, which allows for flexible loadouts. She possesses high anti-submarine warfare (ASW) capabilities for a destroyer, but lower luck stats. Originally obtainable via quest chain, she can now be found as a drop in the 4-5 map. Z1's dialogue and backstory frequently mention her concern for boiler maintenance, stemming from the real-world Z1-class destroyer's boiler issues. Her personality is described as introverted and slightly worried. Her character design is by Shimada Fumikane, and she is voiced by Endou Aya. In-game, she has several different appearances during events, like summer swimwear and seasonal attire. Z1 is considered to be a unique and charming character among the Kanmusu, despite her tragic real-life history, where she was sunk due to friendly fire in World War II.
