U-511

U-511 is a Kanmusu character from the game *Kantai Collection* (艦隊これくしょん), also known as KanColle. She is based on the World War II German Navy's U-boat Type IXC submarine, U-511. In the game, U-511 starts as a blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl with a somewhat introverted personality, wearing a distinctive black diving suit and a German Navy sailor's hat. Her initial demeanor is reserved and a little anxious, often mixing German into her speech as she tries to adapt to Japanese culture. As the game progresses, U-511 can be remodeled into U-511 Kai and eventually into Ro-500, undergoing a significant change in appearance and personality, transforming from a shy girl to a more cheerful and outgoing character who is fluent in Japanese. She was designed by Fumikane Shimada and voiced by Ai Kayano. In the game, U-511 is a relatively rare character, typically obtained through drops in event maps, and is known for her high evasion stat and the special WG42 rocket launcher.
