Libeccio, also known as Libeccio (リベッチオ), is a character in "Kantai Collection" (KanColle), where she is the third ship of the Italian Navy's Maestrale-class destroyer. In the game, Libeccio is portrayed as a lively and cheerful girl, designed by Jiji and voiced by Akari Kitō. She is usually seen in a white sleeveless sailor dress with red and green stripes, and a small hat. Her equipment includes torpedo launchers and twin 120mm main guns on her back, along with paravanes on her thighs. Libeccio's character traits correspond with her real historical service in WWII. While she's enthusiastic about battle, she also has unique opinions about rescue missions. In gameplay, Libeccio excels with her high speed, evasion, and powerful night battle capabilities. As a destroyer, she utilizes small caliber main guns, torpedoes, and anti-submarine equipment. Her unique lines and voice reflect her Italian heritage, often expressing her emotions in Italian. In the game's storyline, she feels both proud and dissatisfied with her experiences in the Battle of Taranto, wishing to contribute to escort fleets but showing some reluctance towards rescue duties. Libeccio also appears in "Kantai Collection" spin-offs, such as anime and manga, where she is very popular and has various seasonal costumes, like Halloween and summer swimsuits.
