Zara

Zara is a character in the Japanese web browser game "Kantai Collection" (KanColle), based on the lead ship of the Italian Zara-class heavy cruiser from World War II. In the game, she is portrayed as a cheerful and tenacious "ship girl" (Kanmusu) with the motto "tenacity." Zara was initially introduced on February 10, 2016, as an event reward. She excels in daytime surface gunnery battles and, despite not being equipped with torpedoes historically, can perform limited torpedo attacks in the game after upgrades. One of Zara's defining traits is her concern for her sister ship Pola, whose safety she frequently mentions. She's also a culinary enthusiast, showcasing her cooking skills in various seasonal dialogues. Zara has multiple forms including her base form, her upgraded form Zara Kai, and her second upgraded form Zara Due, each with different stats and equipment configurations. She has become a popular character among many KanColle players through various updates.
