Okinami

Okinami is a Kanmusu (ship girl) character in the game "Kantai Collection" (KanColle), based on the Japanese Imperial Navy's Yuugumo-class destroyer, Okinami. She is known for her distinctive glasses and slightly air-headed personality. In the game, Okinami is the 14th ship of the Yuugumo-class destroyers, implemented on February 10, 2016. She typically wears blue half-rimmed glasses, and has uniquely colored hair—pink on the inside and reddish on the outside—held together on the right side with a smokestack-shaped hairpin. Despite her appearance, she is polite, gentle, and has a librarian-like disposition. She is noted for being particularly concerned about the well-being of her glasses when damaged. As a game character, she has good anti-submarine capabilities in her Kai form, and enhanced overall attributes in her Kai Ni form. Okinami is also the protagonist in the manga "Oyakudachi! Chinjuufu Chousatai" (Helpful! Naval Base Investigation Team), where she investigates strange events at the naval base. She has also been featured in limited-time event graphics, such as a swimsuit and autumn festival outfit.
