Harukaze

Harukaze (はるかぜ) is a character in "Kantai Collection" (艦隊これくしょん, KanColle), also known as Combined Fleet Girls Collection. She is the third ship of the second-generation Kamikaze-class destroyers of the former Imperial Japanese Navy. In the game, Harukaze is portrayed as a gentle, quiet, and elegant young lady with red eyes and brown twin-drill hair, adorned with a red ribbon. She wears a Meiji-era schoolgirl uniform, consisting of a pink kimono, a red hakama with cherry blossom petals, and cross-laced high-heeled boots. She also carries a red oriental umbrella and has an anchor ornament on her hakama. Harukaze has a polite and soft-spoken personality, often speaking in a whisper-like voice, giving off an impression of a refined lady from a good family. She has strong feelings for her fellow destroyers, especially Asakaze. Despite being an older class ship, Harukaze is skilled at housework and is a capable and devoted individual. She prefers escort missions over intense fleet battles. Harukaze’s in-game dialogues reflect her Taisho-era romantic style, and she occasionally uses archaic vocabulary. Her lines and experiences are closely related to the historical Harukaze destroyer, such as her multiple encounters with submarine attacks and eventual survival in the war, which contributes to her unique charm in "Kantai Collection."
