Hatakaze

Hatakaze (はたかぜ), also known as Flag Wind, is a character from the game Kantai Collection (KanColle), based on the Imperial Japanese Navy's second Kamikaze-class destroyer, Hatakaze. She is the fifth of the Kamikaze-class destroyers and is designed by the artist Paseri and voiced by Hitomi Nabatame. Hatakaze made her debut as a reward for the E2 map in the summer 2017 event. She is known for her elegant demeanor and strong affection for her sister ship, Harukaze. Her attire includes a yellow haori over a white kimono top and black hakama, showing a unique Japanese-style girl appearance. Hatakaze is gentle, polite, somewhat introverted, and very dutiful. She loves to help others and is loved by players for her gentle behavior. In the game's background, Hatakaze has participated in many escort missions and has gone through important battles with her allied ships. Despite having similar stats to other Kamikaze-class destroyers, she has a higher anti-submarine warfare capability, making her an important character in the game. Hatakaze's stories also frequently appear in fan works, showing another side of her outside the game.
