Janus

Janus is a character in the Japanese game "Kantai Collection" (艦隊これくしょん, also known as KanColle), a personified ship girl based on the British Royal Navy's J-class destroyer, the fifth ship of her class. In the game, Janus is portrayed as an energetic and slightly childish character, while also showing affection for her sister ship, Jervis. Her trademark is her short, blonde hair with distinctive curls. Despite her cute appearance, Janus is a reliable destroyer in battle, possessing high torpedo and anti-submarine capabilities. Her voice lines and dialogues often mention Jervis, as well as confusion regarding terms like "outer space" and "training ships," which are allusions to the classic anime "Galactic Drifter Vifam." Janus was initially introduced as a reward for completing the final area of the "Counterattack Operation in Europe! 'Single Operation'" event in summer 2019 and later became a possible drop in event areas. Her in-game performance and her interactions with Jervis have made her a fan favorite among players.
