Shinyou

Shinyou (神鷹, しんよう) is a light aircraft carrier (CVL) in the game *Kantai Collection* (KanColle). Originally the German merchant vessel SS Scharnhorst, she was later acquired and converted into an aircraft carrier by the Japanese Navy. Shinyou is known for her shy personality and the occasional German words she uses, which stems from her short career, launched in 1943 and sunk two days after her anniversary one year later. Despite her shyness, she is not afraid to fight and tries her best to protect her teammates. In-game, Shinyou can equip sonars and can perform opening anti-submarine warfare (OASW) from level 1 with T4 sonar / T3 Sonar / 7+ ASW aircraft, or any combination to get her ASW stat over 65 with 7+ ASW aircraft. She also has multiple upgrade forms, including Shinyou Kai and Shinyou Kai Ni. Her voice lines often reveal her fear of the sea at night.
