Sado

Sado is a Kanmusu (ship girl) in the game "Kantai Collection" (also known as KanColle), based on the Japanese coastal defense ship Sado. She is a member of the Etorofu-class coastal defense ships and is characterized by her boisterous, energetic, and tomboyish personality. She often refers to herself as "Sado-sama," speaks loudly, and giggles frequently. Sado's character design is by Akasaka Yuzu, with initial voice acting by Ayaka Imamura, later succeeded by Asami Seto. She was implemented into the game as a clear reward for the Fall 2017 Event E-2. Sado is depicted with long blue hair that transitions to blonde, red tsurime eyes, and a modified sailor uniform similar to Etorofu, but with a sleeveless shirt over a black undershirt and black pantyhose. Her equipment includes a pistol-like cannon turret, a backpack-style mast and smokestack, and an anti-air gun on her thigh. The historical IJN Sado was launched in late November 1942 and was sunk by torpedoes on August 22, 1944, an hour after the sinking of Matsuwa.
