Tsushima
Original Title:対馬 (つしま)
Languages:
- Chinese: 对马
- Japanese: 対馬 (つしま)
- English: Tsushima
Tsushima is a character in the game "Kantai Collection" (艦隊これくしょん, also known as KanColle), based on the Etorofu-class coastal defense ship of the same name from the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. In the game, Tsushima is portrayed as a soft-spoken and mellow young girl who pauses between syllables when speaking and has an eerie giggle. She frequently mentions the dangers of the Southern Corridor, where she operated during the war, and occasionally references Taiwan, reflecting her post-war service as a Republic of China Navy vessel. As a coastal defense ship, she is typically weaker in the game but possesses high anti-submarine warfare (ASW) capabilities. Her character design is by Akasaka Yuzu, and her voice actress is initially Imamura Ayaka, later succeeded by Seto Asami. Visually, Tsushima has purple hair that transitions to orange near the tips, and wears a sailor uniform with prominent buttons and black thigh-highs. She is one of the many "fleet girls" (kanmusu) that players can collect and train, embodying the core mechanic of "Kantai Collection"—the personification of World War II warships into young girls for strategic deployment and combat.
