Hiburi

Hiburi is a Kanmusu character in the game *Kantai Collection* (KanColle), classified as a Coastal Defense Ship. She is based on the Japanese coastal defense ship Hiburi. In the game, she is portrayed as reserved, soft-spoken, and often refers to herself in the third person. Unlike her outgoing sister, Daitou, Hiburi tends to be the one looking after her, as evidenced by her secretary line where she tells Daitou to stop messing around. Hiburi was introduced as a reward in the Winter 2018 event E-2 map. She was designed based on the preceding Mikura Class and the later Ukuru Class, and was the first of her class, launched in April 1944. Her service life was very short, as she was sunk by a US submarine. In-game, Hiburi has high anti-submarine warfare capabilities, and can be remodeled to Hiburi Kai for improved stats and combat prowess. She is voiced by Yuka Ootsubo.
