Daitou

Daitou is a Kanmusu character from the game "Kantai Collection" (KanColle), based on the Imperial Japanese Navy's Hiburi-class coastal defense ship Daitou. She is depicted as an energetic and eager-to-battle girl, though a bit rowdy, often needing her sister to look after her. Daitou was introduced in the Winter 2018 event and can be obtained as a drop in E-3, E-4, and E-5 maps. She was designed by the artist Shibafu and voiced by Yuka Otsubo. Her upgraded form is Daitou Kai, which provides improved stats and additional equipment slots. In the game, Daitou excels in anti-submarine warfare and gains extra stat bonuses with certain equipment combinations. She is a popular choice among players for a coastal defense ship. Her lines and voice portray her cheerful and straightforward nature, for example, saying "1st Surface Escort Division, Daitou, sortieing now! Follow me!" when sortieing. Overall, Daitou is an energetic and practical Kanmusu.
