Maestrale

Maestrale is a ship girl character in the game "Kantai Collection" (KanColle), based on the Italian Navy's lead ship of the Maestrale-class destroyers, the "Maestrale." In the game, she is depicted as a young girl with long silver hair and green eyes, wearing a white sailor dress with red and green stripes, and sporting an anchor necklace and hair ornament. She is portrayed as cheerful and caring, referring to herself as the eldest of the Maestrale-class destroyers. In the game, she can be remodeled and upgraded to improve her stats. Historically, Maestrale was a destroyer that participated in various battles, including the Spanish Civil War and North African campaigns, before being sunk by a mine in 1943. Her in-game dialogue and storyline often reference this history, portraying her as a cute character who is somewhat afraid of mines but still fights hard. Maestrale is voiced by Akari Kitou, and her character design is done by Jiji. She was also the flagship of the 10th Destroyer Division, fighting alongside her sister destroyers.
