South Dakota

South Dakota is a character in the game "Kantai Collection" (KanColle), based on the US Navy's South Dakota-class battleship USS South Dakota (BB-57). In the game, she is depicted as a girl with long blue hair, red and white streaks, gray eyes, and a voluptuous figure. South Dakota is dressed in a short-sleeved brown jacket, a white midriff, a black necktie, black elbow gloves, a black pencil skirt, black see-through single leg pantyhose, and mismatched thigh-highs. Her rigging features two split hull pieces, housing three 406mm triple gun mounts and eight 127mm twin dual-purpose mounts, with her real-life mainmast as a flagpole. Her personality is portrayed as bold and combative, often referring to artillery battles as "brawls". She has a good relationship with Kirishima but a tense one with Washington. The in-game character references her infamous short circuit incident during the Battle of Guadalcanal. She also has multiple seasonal variants, including yukata, casual wear, swimsuit and Valentine's Day themed outfits.
