She was laid down in October 1942 and completed in October of the following year. In the game, Mikura can be upgraded to Mikura Kai, which boosts her stats and provides new equipment. Although she is not a main combatant, Mikura plays an important role in player fleets by providing support and assurance. Her lines and personality are popular among players. Mikura is voiced by Shu Uchida, and her illustrations are drawn by acea4. Mikura's role in Kantai Collection is crucial with her personality and history, which made her loved by many players.
