Yashiro

Yashiro is a Kanmusu (ship girl) in the game Kantai Collection (KanColle), based on the Japanese Imperial Navy's Mikura-class coastal defense ship No. 6, Yashiro. In the game, Yashiro is characterized by her long pinkish-brown hair, thick eyebrows, and Mikura-class uniform with lace embellishments. She also wears a goldfish badge on her chest and a mikan (mandarin orange) flower on her hat, all references to Yashiro Island in Yamaguchi Prefecture, also known as Suo-Oshima or Goldfish Island. She has a serious personality, similar to Mikura, and switches between the First Maritime Escort Division and the 102nd Squadron when sortieing. Yashiro excels in anti-submarine warfare, with significantly improved abilities after remodeling, and can use special equipment. She was involved in several escort missions, and after the war, she was transferred to the Republic of China and renamed Zheng An before being decommissioned in 1963. In the game setting, Yashiro shows special concern for Asashimo, inspired by a historical rumor about a mysterious encounter. Yashiro was implemented in July 2020 and has various appearances, including a yukata.
