Hayashio

Hayashio is a destroyer ship girl from the game "Kantai Collection" (KanColle), specifically the fifth ship of the Kagerō-class destroyers. She is known for her lively and cheerful personality, and her slightly "modern" way of speaking, which contrasts with her more serious sister, Oyashio. Hayashio was implemented in the game as an event reward ship on May 28, 2022, and later received her Kai Ni (second remodel) form on July 13 of the same year. Her character design is by the artist Konishi, and she shares similarities in appearance with Oyashio, both wearing uniforms in the style of the Uraga Dockyard, but Hayashio's hair is longer. Her voice lines are also distinctive, often revealing a playful tone and a particular speaking habit. In the game, she can be remodeled to gain enhanced stats and skills, making her an important destroyer in a player's fleet. Historically, Hayashio was completed in 1940, participated in multiple operations during the early Pacific War, and was lost in action near Rabaul on November 24, 1942.
