Salmon

Salmon (サーモン) is a character in the game *Kantai Collection* (艦隊これくしょん, KanColle), based on the lead ship of the US Navy's *Salmon*-class submarine, USS *Salmon* (SS-182). In the game, she appears as a spirited, somewhat slangy girl who proudly proclaims herself the 'nameship of the *Salmon*-class'. She boasts about her historical accomplishments, particularly sinking the Japanese repair ship 'Asahi'. In the game's setting, she often uses English phrases and shows a certain caution towards the No. 22 Coastal Defense Ship. Salmon can be upgraded to *Salmon Kai* after leveling, gaining improved stats and equipment. Her character design is by kiddy, and she is voiced by Natsumi Kawaida. Unique artwork for Salmon includes Christmas and Winter limited editions, all relating to her name and the 'salmon' theme.
