Noumi

Noumi (のうみ) is a character in the game "Kantai Collection" (KanColle), a Mikura-class coastal defense ship. She is characterized by her relatively weak initial stats and high anti-submarine warfare (ASW) capability, primarily using ASW equipment. Noumi's in-game dialogue and settings reflect her sense of responsibility as a guard ship and her emphasis on protecting ports. She was introduced during the early spring 2023 event and cannot be built, only obtained through drops in event maps. Noumi can be remodeled into Noumi Kai, which increases her stats and provides more diverse equipment combinations and bonuses. In terms of equipment, Noumi can equip various anti-submarine and anti-air equipment, such as the 12cm Single High-angle Gun Mount Model E and Type 2 Depth Charge, which provide additional stat boosts. Noumi's historical prototype is the Japanese coastal defense ship Noumi from World War II, which participated in tasks such as the Matsu transport and escorting convoys. Her character design faithfully reflects this historical background, making her an important escort ship girl in the game.
