Massachusetts

Massachusetts (マサチューセッツ) is a ship girl character in the game "Kantai Collection" (艦隊これくしょん, also known as KanColle), based on the U.S. Navy's South Dakota-class battleship, USS Massachusetts (BB-59). In the game, she is a Fast Battleship (FBB) with high firepower and armor. She refers to herself as "Big Mammy," has a strong personality, often uses English, and is very fond of her main guns. Massachusetts was implemented as a drop ship during the 2022 summer event. She is one of the few in-game ship girls based on an existing real-life vessel, and has a very high luck cap. Her appearance features a pink-gold hair with a red highlight and a uniform with elements of the U.S. flag. Beyond the game, Massachusetts also appears in manga, anime and other derivative works.
