I-36 is a character in the game *Kantai Collection* (KanColle), a submarine aircraft carrier of the Type B Mod. She is the only surviving Type B submarine to have survived until the end of World War II, giving her a high initial luck stat in the game. I-36 is depicted as a lively girl with twin tails, calling herself "Mimu." She is fond of the Special Type 4 Launch, called "Katsu-sha" in the game, which she describes as resembling a cute frog. Her illustrations and voice lines show her optimistic attitude. In the game, I-36 can be remodeled and can equip seaplanes for reconnaissance and bombing. She was first implemented in the early Spring 2024 event, "Operation Whirlwind."
