Ayane

Ayane is a fictional character in the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden franchises. She first appeared as a hidden unlockable character in the 1998 PlayStation version of Dead or Alive, and has appeared in all sequels, serving as the protagonist of Dead or Alive 3. Ayane is a young kunoichi of the Mugen Tenshin Ninja Clan who was treated as an outcast during childhood due to her origin. In adulthood, she has become a respected, highly-skilled ninja who assists alongside her half-brother and current clan leader Hayate, and has a complex relationship with her half-sister, Kasumi. Ayane's personality is portrayed as cold and extremely serious, contrasting with Kasumi's 'soft' personality. She is also renowned for her exceptional ninjutsu and combat skills. Throughout the story, Ayane’s tragic background, her loyalty to her clan, and her complex feelings towards Kasumi form her unique character profile. Ayane plays a significant role not only in the Dead or Alive series, but also appears as a supporting character in the Ninja Gaiden series and makes guest appearances in other games, further cementing her status as a classic figure in the gaming world.
