Momiji, also known as 紅葉, is a significant character in the Dead or Alive series, first appearing in 2008's Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword. She is not only Ryu Hayabusa's apprentice but also the Dragon Shrine Maiden of the Hayabusa clan. Momiji is tasked with guarding the Dragons Eye, a sacred jewel said to contain the spirit of a mighty dragon. In times of great danger, it is her duty to ensure the jewel safely reaches Ryu Hayabusa to enhance his Dragon Sword's power.
