Agumon Hakase

Agumon Hakase, also known as Agumon Expert, is a unique character in the Digimon franchise. It is depicted as a genius Agumon with a doctorate in Digital Monster studies from Digital World University, with a badge on its chest as proof of this degree. Despite the title supposedly being self-proclaimed, Agumon Hakase is genuinely knowledgeable about Digimon species and ecosystems. It often ends its sentences with “Gya,” a verbal tic indicating it may have originated from a distant location. Its special moves include using its hat, 'Hakase Bou,' to appear clever, and its rod, 'Hakase Bō,' to persuade opponents. Agumon Hakase has appeared in various Digimon media, including anime, manga, video games, and trading card games, known for its scholarly image and unique speaking habit. In some iterations, it is also featured as a collectible card or medal. A counterfeit version, Nise Agumon Hakase, exists, mimicking Agumon Hakase's identity but spreading false information.
