Otamamon

Otamamon (オタマモン) is an Amphibian Digimon from the Digimon franchise, also known as the "Tadpole Digimon". It resembles a purple tadpole with developed forelimbs and underdeveloped hind limbs. Its skin hasn't fully hardened due to its choice to live underwater. Otamamon primarily inhabits lakes and rivers upstream of the Net Ocean, swimming with its large tail and occasionally climbing onto rocks for vocal training. Its underdeveloped hind limbs act as rudders, while its tail provides powerful propulsion. Otamamon is unique among Rookie-level Digimon for clearly signaling its upcoming digivolution. However, its high potential for mutation necessitates caution during training. In various Digimon media, Otamamon often appears as an enemy or an ally, and can digivolve into various forms such as Shellmon, Gekomon, and Seadramon. In Digimon games, Otamamon is a frequently obtainable Digimon with multiple evolution paths.
