Orochimon has made appearances in several Digimon media, including Digimon Tamers, where it ruled a forest and forced local Otamamon and Gekomon to brew sake, and Digimon Xros Wars as a soldier of the Bagra Army. In Digimon Adventure tri., it was a partner Digimon of one of the original Chosen Children, evolving into Xuanwumon to fight the Dark Masters. It also features in various video games such as Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker's Memory and Digimon ReArise. Inspired by the mythological Yamata no Orochi, Orochimon’s attacks include 'Sake Breath' and using its tail as a whip.
