Gaossmon

Gaossmon (ガオスモン) is a small Reptile Digimon in the Digimon franchise. It is known for its competitive spirit and loud barking. Despite its small size, Gaossmon possesses remarkable running speed and agility, making it difficult to track once it disappears into the grass. However, it often betrays its location by barking frequently. Gaossmon is adept at running on land, but it is afraid of water and cannot swim, even shallow puddles can cause it trouble. Its special attacks include “Kilo Flame”, which fires hot flames, and a powerful headbutt called “Head Strike”. In the Digimon Adventure: anime, Gaossmon made a brief appearance as an antagonist, leading a group of Goburimon to fight for a water source. It has also appeared in other Digimon media, including virtual pets, manga, video games, and trading card games. Gaossmon's design might be inspired by the Jurassic dinosaur Gasosaurus, and its name is likely derived from the Japanese word "Gōsoku" meaning 'high-speed.'
