Chrysalimon

Chrysalimon (クリサリモン) is a fictional character in the Digimon franchise, whose name and design are derived from the chrysalis. It is often regarded as a pupa-like form that the Rookie Digimon Keramon enters in order to evolve into a more powerful Digimon. In this form, Chrysalimon is unable to move, but is protected by its tough shell and can attack enemies with tentacles extending from its back. In some instances, it can directly evolve into an Ultimate form without becoming a Champion, but it usually evolves into Chrysalimon to achieve a stronger Ultimate form. Chrysalimon has appeared in numerous Digimon anime, manga, and games, often as an enemy or a transitional form in the evolutionary process.
