Shellmon

Shellmon (シェルモン) is a fictional creature appearing in the Digimon franchise, first introduced in the Digital Monster Ver. 3. It is a Mollusk Digimon that lives in the Net Ocean, resembling a hermit crab, but with a soft body and no shell of its own. Shellmon replaces its shell as it grows, and can reach the size of a small mountain. It is a Data attribute Digimon, whose special attack is "Hydro Pressure," and whose skills include "Drill Shell" and "Spin Shellter." Shellmon has appeared in the Digimon anime and games, notably in Digimon Adventure, where it was the second enemy faced by the main characters, prompting Agumon's first evolution into Greymon. It has also appeared in Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon Tamers, and other series. In the Digimon World game, Shellmon is an obtainable Digimon and can evolve through various means. Known for its unique design and its significant role in the storyline, Shellmon remains a classic character in the Digimon franchise.
