Chikurimon (チクリモン) is a small Mine Digimon resembling a sea mine. It lurks underwater or under the shade of rocks, waiting quietly in one place and not moving around very much. Although it has a habit of attacking those that come near, it is not belligerent and won't attack those that stay away from it. Chikurimon proliferates abnormally when the temperature exceeds 30°C, so they can often be seen thickly crowded into lakes or around rocks in the summer. Digimon that come to drink water are often attacked. Its special move, “Final Chikurimon,” is a self-sacrificing attack where it explodes together with its opponent. Chikurimon's design is inspired by naval mines. They have appeared in various Digimon media, such as in Digimon Adventure:, where they attacked the protagonists but were easily defeated by Agumon and Gabumon. Chikurimon first appeared in 2000 and is classified as a Mine Digimon.
