Chapmon

Chapmon (チャップモン) is a Baby II level Digimon of the Lesser type from the Digimon franchise. It primarily inhabits clear, beautiful waters, spending most of its time on the surface and sleeping with only its face exposed. Chapmon is highly sensitive to even slight movements on the water's surface, allowing it to detect approaching threats and quickly escape. Its design draws inspiration from the Japanese mythical creature, the Kappa. In the anime series "Digimon Adventure:", some Chapmon reside in Marin Angemon's underwater city. Chapmon can evolve from Puwamon, Pitchmon, or Pipimon, and further evolve into Digimon such as Falcomon (Savers), Betamon, Goburimon, or Elecmon. The name Chapmon originates from the Japanese onomatopoeia "chapu chapu," describing the sound of splashing in puddles, and may also reference the lyrics from the Japanese children's song "Amefuri".
