Deathmon (Black)

Deathmon (Black), also known as Desumon (Black), is a Demon Lord Digimon from the Digimon franchise. Originally, like Daemon (Creepymon), it was a high-ranking Angel Digimon, but it fell into the Dark Area, becoming a Demon Lord Digimon. Unlike other Fallen Angel and Devil Digimon, it does not actively engage in evil acts; instead, it maintains a neutral stance, observing events. It is said that during the final battle, it will change from its white form to a jet-black color, transforming into a god of destruction. Its special attacks include 'Death Arrow,' fired from the evil eyes on its hands, and 'Explosion Eye,' a destructive beam from its single crimson eye. The design of Deathmon (Black) is based on a winning entry by Takahiro Ino from Yamagata Prefecture in the Digimon Web Dot-art Contest. In Digimon Adventure:, it appears as a major antagonist, formed by the fusion of countless Soundbirdmon, initially gray and quickly turning black. It claims to be the herald of the 'Great Catastrophe,' foreshadowing its arrival. In various Digimon games, it can be obtained through different evolutions and plays significant roles, such as appearing as a boss or as a Digimon the player can raise.
