Namakemon

Original Title:ナマケモン

Languages:

  • Chinese: 树懒兽
  • Japanese: ナマケモン
  • English: Namakemon
Namakemon (ナマケモン) is a Puppet Digimon in the Digimon franchise. It's characterized by its extreme laziness, finding joy only in eating and sleeping. Its aversion to strenuous exercise has led to the erasure of its combat instincts as a Digimon, and it lives in elevated areas like treetops to avoid disturbances. It often uses its hands to grasp branches, so its long, well-developed tongue acts as a third arm. Namakemon's attacks include "Poop Toss." In the Vital Bracelet Digital Monster, it digivolves from Pulsemon and can digivolve to Climbmon, Shootmon, and Tempomon. It can also DNA digivolve to Boutmon with a Vaccine or Free Digimon, Divemon with a Data Champion Digimon, or to various other Ultimate Digimon by acting as the Virus Champion Digimon requirement. Namakemon's design is inspired by a slothful lifestyle, reflected in its love for sleep and aversion to movement. It first appeared in the Digimon series and is popular among fans for its unique lazy personality and cute appearance. Its Japanese name "Namakemon" is a combination of "Namake" (lazy) and "Mon" (monster).
