Hagurumon (ハグルモン) is a fictional character in the Digimon franchise, first appearing in the 1997 Digimon virtual pet toy. It is a Machine Digimon that resembles a gear, with countless gears constantly rotating within its body. Hagurumon's body is intricately structured, and if even a single gear is missing, its entire body will cease to function, making it unable to maintain its vital functions. It possesses a special ability to transmit computer viruses, allowing it to control other Digimon, and is often exploited by villainous Digimon. However, Hagurumon itself lacks a sense of self and doesn't realize it is being used for evil purposes. Despite this, Hagurumon has appeared in various Digimon anime, manga, games, and trading cards, playing different roles. It is generally considered a Rookie-level Digimon that can evolve into stronger forms such as Guardromon or Mechanorimon. Hagurumon’s unique design and abilities have made it a memorable character in the Digimon series.
