Pulsemon (パルスモン) is a character from the Digimon franchise, first appearing in March 2021 with the release of the “Vital Bracelet Digital Monster.” It is a Beastkin-type Rookie Digimon whose evolution is influenced by heartbeat waveform data stored in hospitals and gyms. Pulsemon has a lively personality, treating everyone equally, and its characteristic fringe changes with its emotions, drooping when it's feeling down. It utilizes its agility in battle, moving like lightning, making it a tricky fighter. Its special attacks include “Elec Rush,” a full-speed body slam, and “Petit Impulse,” a blast of electricity fired from its fringe.
Pulsemon's design emphasizes its connection to humans, incorporating heart and wave-like shapes symbolizing vital signs. Its sporty appearance, with sneakers, showcases its active nature. In the “Digimon Dreamers” manga, Pulsemon is Ritsu Kodo’s partner, depicted as a fitness enthusiast from a cursed village unable to Digivolve, training hard to evolve. The Vital Bracelet's evolution tree is almost entirely Pulsemon-based, showcasing its diverse evolution lines, including Bulkmon, Exermon, and Runnermon. It appears not just in virtual pet devices but also in manga, anime, and card games, making it a significant character in the Digimon world.
