Hookmon, also known as Hookmon, is a fictional character in the Digimon franchise, first appearing in 1997. It is a Mutant Digimon with a pirate theme, characterized by a single eye and a pursuit of the phantom White Whamon across the "Net Ocean." Its right arm is a hook-shaped claw, and once it ensnares its prey, it does not let go easily. It also has a cannon on its left arm. Hookmon's design draws inspiration from both Captain Hook from Peter Pan and Captain Ahab from Moby-Dick. The color scheme of Hookmon varies across different Digimon media; for instance, in Digimon World 3, its primary color is red instead of the usual blue. Hookmon appears as a playable character or enemy in various Digimon video games, such as Digimon World 3 and the Digimon Story series, and has also been featured in the Digimon anime, manga, and trading card game. It is typically regarded as the evolved form of Koemon.
