Botamon

Botamon, also known as Black Ballmon, is a Baby I Digimon in the Digimon franchise. It is characterized by its round, slime-like body covered in thick, black fuzz. As a newly born Digimon, Botamon lacks the ability to battle, but it can produce bubble-like objects from its mouth to intimidate opponents. Botamon's name is derived from the Japanese sweet rice cake 'botamochi' and 'coal debris' (bota). Botamon frequently appears as the initial form of protagonist Digimon across various Digimon media, such as in Digimon Adventure where it is the Baby I form of Tai Kamiya's partner Agumon. Botamon has also appeared in many Digimon anime series, manga, video games, and virtual pet toys. Its evolution lines are diverse, including digivolving into Koromon, Wanyamon, Tokomon, and Pagumon, among others. Despite its small size, Botamon is the starting point for many powerful Digimon, playing an important role in the Digimon world.
