Mermaimon

Mermaimon (マーメイモン) is an Aquabeast Digimon from the Digimon franchise. It is based on the mythical mermaid and dwells in the cold seas of the Digital World. Mermaimon is known for its captivating singing voice, which it uses to charm listeners. While it possesses a beautiful voice, it is also greedy and has a strong desire for treasure. When attracted to treasure, it will use its singing to bewitch others, even if the data (treasure) belongs to other Digimon, and then take it for itself. In the Digimon anime series, Mermaimon has appeared as an antagonist, such as in Digimon Fusion where it serves as a leader in Olegmon's army. Mermaimon can evolve through various means, and in games, it can evolve from Hookmon and can further digivolve into MarineAngemon or AncientMermaimon. It also appears frequently in various Digimon games like Digimon Story: Lost Evolution and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, sometimes as a collectible Digimon or a medal, or as a playable partner. Mermaimon's presence enhances the aquatic diversity of the Digimon world, adding a touch of fantasy to the stories.
