Modoki Betamon

Modoki Betamon (モドキベタモン) is an Amphibian Digimon from the Digimon franchise. It is a rare species that appears almost identical to Betamon, but is much less common. Modoki Betamon has a gentle personality and inhabits quiet swamps, where it skillfully controls water currents. Its signature moves include 'Aqua Tower', which creates a small whirlpool, and 'Blade Fin', which fires a shockwave from the crest on its head. Modoki Betamon appears in various Digimon media, such as the Digimon World video games as an enemy or obtainable via cheat code, and in manga and novels like Digimon Seekers. It's also featured in the Digimon trading card game with varying abilities. Despite its resemblance to Betamon, Modoki Betamon is distinct due to its rarity and unique attacks. The design of Modoki Betamon is inspired by the Dimetrodon (Dimetrodon grandis). It is typically considered a Rookie-level Digimon, and while in some games it can't evolve normally, in other media it shows potential as an important character. It belongs to both the Deep Savers and Nature Spirits groups.
