Yatagaramon is a Bird Digimon from the Digimon franchise, characterized by its three legs and unique appearance as a Bewitching Bird Digimon. Despite its jet-black body giving an impression of evil, it is said to guide the chosen ones to the "Golden Land" in the eastern Digital World. This region is still shrouded in mystery, and the "Golden Land" is believed to be protected by multiple sacred barriers. Legend says that with Yatagaramon's guidance, the barriers will be lifted, and only those who overcome the "Threefold Trials" set by Yatagaramon will reach the "Golden Land," while those who fail are sent to the Dark Area. Its special move, "Mikafutsu-no-kami," involves channeling energy from the Dokkosho on its wings into its forelegs, disassembling the digital cells of affected Digimon into 0s and 1s. Additionally, it can use "Haguro" from its black feathers to turn a 3km radius into night. In the Digimon Story series, Yatagaramon typically evolves from Peckmon and can evolve further into Valdurmon.
